Alpareno Restaurant Group, a partnership with Nolan Reynolds International, marries culinary innovation and operational excellence led by Chef Niven Patel and Mohamed Alkassar. Having seen tremendous success launching Mamey at THesis Hotel, they set out to create a vision for many years to come. Alpareno emphasizes the importance of putting an equal amount of effort in ensuring we enhance the lives of our patrons, the communities in which we serve, local farmers, and our team.
Chef Niven is the embodiment of the farm to table movement. Residing on his farm, Rancho Patel, Chef Niven delivers his produce to the restaurants and curates a menu that compliments his hand-picked ingredients. Alpareno focuses on sourcing from local farms and building personal relationships with the farmers and purveyors gaining access to limited seasonal ingredients. With 4 restaurant concepts, including the nationally acclaimed, Ghee Indian Kitchen, Alpareno has become a well-respected restaurant group in South Florida.

Orno is a New American, neighborhood restaurant boasting a carefully curated wood-fired menu, emphasizing Chef Niven’s locally sourced ingredients. The design, created to evoke conversation, is exemplified by the Library, a tastefully unique private dining room.

Ghee Indian Kitchen

Ghee puts seasonal and contemporary spins on traditional Indian fare. Ghee, a clarified butter that originated in Ancient India, means “pure,” a philosophy that is carried through the warm and hospitable dining room. With an intent to bring home-cooking to a restaurant setting, the menu focuses on long-prep creations. Ghee’s culinary excellence earned it three semi-finalist nominations for the James Beard award.

Chef Niven’s home, Rancho Patel, is a two-acre farm located in Homestead, FL. The property boasts a unique lineup of fruit trees and vegetables, including ones curated from Niven’s extensive collection of seeds and saplings brought back from his international travels. Seasonal ingredients grown on the farm guide the menu curation of the restaurants. With a large wood-fire oven situated in the midst of the farmland, events have made the rancho an ideal testing ground for new concepts.
